Goals for Class and as a Writer

I hope to discover more of a flow for my writing abilities. Part of this involves increasing my vocabulary and discovering a use for words that makes my writing more interesting. I also want to identify better with my readers by linking the subject of my writing with some universal message that others can understand and relate to. As a writer I want to write stories for family and memory. I think that knowing how to write in this way will increase my ability to connect with others especially those closest to me.
